Several members of the Management Team participated in the formation and subsequent sale of AXIO Natural Resources, Inc. AXIO was formed in 2003 as a Natural Gas Partners, VI Portfolio Company. AXIO's reserve base was concentrated in South Texas and the Texas Panhandle. AXIO was sold to Chesapeake in January 2006. AXIO executed on an aggressive acquire and exploit strategy that included 4 major acquisitions and the drilling of 14 wells during its short 2-1/2 year history.

John Redmond

The President of BlueStone received his BS in Petroleum Engineering and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. John began his career at Conoco in 1988. John was hired as an Engineering Manager at Samson Resources in 1991 and remained there until he was hired as Senior Vice President with PITCO, Ltd in 1996. John remained at PITCO until he formed, in partnership with Natural Gas Partners, AXIO Natural Resources in 2003. John successfully guided AXIO until its sale to Chesapeake in 2006. After the AXIO transaction, John and several AXIO alums formed BlueStone in February 2006, again utilizing funds from Natural Gas Partners. John has experience operating in most North American producing basins, with special focus on Mid-Continent, East Texas / North Louisiana, South Texas and the Texas Panhandle.

Joe Dullea

The Senior Vice President of Exploration of BlueStone received his BS in Geology from the University of Kansas. Joe began his career in 1980 with TXO and advanced from there to positions with Samson Resources, Barrett Resources and Primary Natural Resources. Joe joined AXIO Natural Resources as Vice President of Exploration in 2004 and was an integral part of the successful sale to Chesapeake in 2006. Joe has extensive experience in the Mid-Continent and South Texas regions as well as the Rocky Mountains, Canada and in many international basins around the world.

Doug Redmond

The Vice President of Engineering of BlueStone, received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 1990. Doug then went to work for Shell Western E&P as a Reservoir Engineer until 1992. From 1992 to 1997, Doug was employed as Gas Supply Manager for Delhi Gas Pipeline. Doug then went to work for Oryx, then through acquisition by Kerr McGee, as a District Engineer through 2000. Prior to joining BlueStone, Doug was Vice President of Product Development for eLynx Technology.

Howard Gray

Senior Engineer of BlueStone, received his BS Degree in Mathematics and Physics from The University of Central Oklahoma in 1961. Howard was employed by Texaco as a Petroleum Engineer in 1967 and has held management and engineering positions with various companies before retiring from PITCO in 2003. He worked for AXIO beginning in November of 2003 on a consulting basis, specializing in Drilling and Production Operations and remained until the sale to Chesapeake. He has now joined BlueStone as Senior Engineer.

Ken Gibson

The Vice President of Land of BlueStone, received his BBA in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma in 1982. Ken then went to work for Petro Lewis for three years. Ken then began a 16 year career with Vintage Petroleum. Ken was hired in 2000 to be Land Manager at PITCO in Tulsa, where he stayed until joining BlueStone in 2006.

Thomas King

Field Superintendent of BlueStone, Thomas began his work with West Drilling Corp. in Midland, Texas after graduating high school in 1972 and worked in production and drilling until 1985. From Midland, he maintained a contract/consulting business in production and drilling from 1985 to 2001. He assumed a Field Supervisor position for PITCO from 2001 until 2003. He was hired by AXIO as a Production Superintendent in 2003 and remained there until sale of the company in 2006. His experience in all phases of drilling and production has been concentrated primarily in Texas, Louisiana and Western Oklahoma.

Kevin Ferdinand

Geophysics Manager of BlueStone received his BS in Geology from the Northern Arizona University. Kevin began his career at Exxon in 1981 and remained there until 1996. Kevin was hired as a Geophysicist at ARCO Permian and remained there until 2000 when he accepted a position with BP in the BP/ARCO merger. In 2004, Kevin joined Digital Prospectors as a geophysical consultant. Kevin has extensive experience in most major North American producing basins with special focus on South Texas, Permian Basin, Rockies and the North Slope of Alaska. Kevin joined BlueStone in 2008.


CB Rowan, CPA

The Chief Financial Officer of BlueStone, received his BSBA from the University of Tulsa in 1991. CB then went to work for Arthur Andersen and advanced to the position of Tax Senior before taking the Corporate Controller position with Silverado Foods. CB then was hired to be Chief Operating Officer of Halo Technologies and its successor corporations through 2004. CB joined Axio in 2004 as Controller and remained there until the sale and transition to Chesapeake in the first Quarter of 2006.

Kristi Perryman

Engineering Specialist of BlueStone, received her B.S. in Science Education and M.S. in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University. In 2001, Kristi transitioned from education to the oil and gas field and was hired by Samson Resources as an Engineering Tech. Kristi joined the team of AXIO Natural Resources in 2003 and remained with AXIO through the sale to Chesapeake in early 2006.

Cris Gholston

Exploration Manager of BlueStone, did his undergraduate and graduate work in geology at the University of Texas at Austin. Cris began his career with Marathon Oil Company in 1987, and subsequently held positions with Bass Enterprises Production Company and Wiser Oil Company. He also consulted for several companies including the Natural Gas Partners companies; Synergy Oil & Gas, AXIO Natural Resources and Voyager Gas. From 2002 to 2006, he was President and Co-owner of White Rock Oil & Gas, prior to becoming part of the BlueStone team. Cris has extensive experience in exploration and production in the Permian Basin, East Texas/North Louisiana, and South Texas.


Bill McLaughlin

Director of Business Development of BlueStone, received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Bill began his career with Exxon in 1972 and primarily worked the offshore and East Texas regions for 5 years. The next 25 years was spent at Samson Resources with the majority of that stint as Vice President of Operations. Bill then worked in the capacity as Manager of Acquisitions and Divestiture for Latigo Petroleum, Inc for 3 years until the company was successfully sold to POGO.

Denise Redmond

Gas Marketing Manager of BlueStone, received her BS degree in Criminal Justice/Paralegal from Northeastern State University. She spent fourteen years with the natural gas marketing and consulting firm of Boyd Rosene and Associates, Inc. before leaving to help start Seminole Energy Services. Prior to coming to BlueStone, Denise spent three years with Mustang Fuel Corporation in their gathering and processing division. She joined Team BlueStone in July 2007.


Nancy Nelson, CPA

Accounting Manager of BlueStone, received her B.S. in Accounting from Oklahoma State University in 1993. Nancy then joined Arthur Andersen and advanced to the position of Tax Senior before joining Vintage Petroleum as a Tax/Financial Analyst in 1998. After four years with Vintage, Nancy was hired by Brighton Energy, LLC as its Accounting Manager and remained with Brighton until its sale to Unit Petroleum in October of 2006. She then joined Millbrae Energy, LLC as its Partnership Accounting Manager until joining BlueStone in August 2007.


Juli Green

Production Analyst of BlueStone, received her B.A. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1995. Juli began working for Boyd Rosene and Associates in 1996 in the Contract Administration department. She then went to Seminole Energy Services when it was founded in 1998 and served as the Office Manager and assisted the contracts, gas marketing and production departments. Juli joined BlueStone in September of 2006.


Tamra Spence

Land Technician of BlueStone, received her BS degree from Oklahoma State University in 1981. Tamra has worked in the Manufactured Housing industry since 1995, where she served as the Office Manager as well as Finance and Insurance Manager. Her experience in land transactions and interest in the energy business brought her to BlueStone in April of 2008.


Will Eastman

Accounts Payable for BlueStone, received his B.S. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 2005, graduating with Honors. After holding various jobs, Will joined RayneStorm LLC in early 2007 as a national sales representative. He joined BlueStone in January of 2008.
